Dear Aijalonians,

We only have 3 1/2 mths as group Aijalon, then we will form new groups adi. Many of us will not be in the same group anymore, maybe 1 or 2 might still be in the same group. Let's take this time to really ponder what we have been through throughout these few months. How our group started, how did we come up with the group verse, the badge, the banner and many more things.

Let us not forget the purpose of us serving in church, many at times we (including myself) take this as responsibility rather than the love we have for others. As our commander Wai Loon have shared this morning:

"John 13-34: A new command I give you: Love one another. As i have loved you, so you must love one another. Sometimes we think of this word "LOVE" we always think that it is from others (something we feel), but Jesus gave us this command and change the word "love" into something we do to others"

As Song Festival is approaching, let us really use this wonderful gift (voice that can sing) that God had given us to reach out to others. Our theme is The Message, let's really think about what is the message that we want to tell people. The songs we practice, do you really mean what you sing?

When we sing "We have a message from the gospel to proclaim", are we really proclaiming the words that is coming out from our mouth?

When we sing "How great thou art", do we really believe our God is great and that we can't help but to tell others about this great God that we believe in?

When we sing "Only Truth, Loving Truth", do we really mean it?

When we sing "Oh happy day when Jesus washed my sins away", are we really happy about it?

Let's really look into the lyrics, understand what the song means and sing from our hearts. Our purpose us to reach out, not to win Song Fest. If we win but our songs didn't touch anyone's heart then it's meaningless.

It will be a hectic schedule, more intense practices. So take care of our voices, drink more water and avoid oily/spicy food. Just for these 2 weeks then you can eat whatever you want. Hahahahaha....

Let's us prepare ourselves and sing out The Message to those who will be coming on Song Fest! And make them so touch that they will cry. Lol
